WELCOME TO NORTH FESTIVAL
Each year NORTH Festival celebrates the best of northern Tasmanian produce and the people responsible for taking it all the way from the paddock to your plate.
The festival serves up bite-sized events at venues across Launceston, Tasmania’s UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, embracing place and provenance.
Meet the makers behind what we grow and produce. Get to know the ingredients that make our region special. Pull up a seat for a long-table dinner, taste your way through NORTH Small Plates, or learn new skills in a cooking class.
From intimate tastings to big shared tables, hands-on experiences to stories from the people who know the North best, NORTH is an invitation to eat, drink, explore and connect with our region.
The next NORTH Festival will be held in autumn 2027, making the most of the bounty of harvest season.
Initially planned for October, NORTH moved in response to a fabulous array of culinary events popping up in Launceston. The plate was overflowing in spring, so we’re saving the feast for autumn.
